Well my new 2GB 150x SD card arrived……………. and Ready Boost pronounced that it didn’t have suitable performance to use this card!!!!!!!
Well after playing with the card for a while and measuring its performance with “HDspeed” Readyboost decided it was now ok….. strange.
So I let windows use the new card and gave it the 1830Kb it recommended. I have been using the system for a few days and have not noticed any great improvement in speed, however I now have to load almost every application I use all at the same time to slow the system down and “Paintshop pro” doesn’t crash any more.
so all in all I feel that the increase in the memory available to Readyboost has helped and at only £8 for 2GB it seems like money well spent.
